It may only be the UK’s 74th largest export market but Latvia is becoming an important one for ISL! With a new route optimisation client in the waste & recycling sector we are also discussing an opportunity in the parcel & postal sector. According to the Department for International Trade (DIT) website, 0.1% of total UK exports for the four quarters to the end of Q1 2022 went to Latvia. Telecommunications, computer and information service represents £33M of total exports – the 2nd largest sector after travel.
With current software clients in Portugal and Germany, ISL Route Optimisation solutions are all across Europe! And let’s not forget in 2022 we also gained a route optimisation client in the UAE.
For 2023 we are looking at Germany (for route optimisation) and the USA (for in-cab navigation & service verification) as being our fastest growing export markets. It’s all the more important as the UK enters into a long recession that software companies like ISL look beyond our shores for new sources of revenue. Thanks to guidance and access to funding from Department for International Trade (DIT), ISL is actively increasing revenue from overseas.
