Pressure on school admission teams has increased as they attempt to equitably process applications.

Here at ISL we draw upon our mapping & GIS expertise to provide a distance measuring service that accurately measures the distance from the house of every applicant to the school. The ‘as the crow flies’ distance or walk/drive travel path distance is plotted from the centre point of the house to the centre point of the school – or even the school gate!

The results can be returned in various file formats, such as an Excel spreadsheet, and with an overview map (more detailed maps are available too).

For over 15 years ISL has been a partner of the Ordnance Survey using their data for numerous projects combined with the Geographic Information Systems (GIS) provided by ESRI.
