On 11th December 2020, we held a Christmas webinar looking at the Wastes of Christmas Past, Present & Future. We were fortunate enough to have an array of guests looking at various aspects, they were:

  • Gill King from the Museum of London Archeology
  • Paul Frith from Frith Resource Management
  • Sarahjane Widdowson from Intelisos
  • Sarah Knapp from Integrated Skills
  • and Simeon Walker, pianist & songwriter

There were insights provided into the evolving waste composition that has been collected over the past couple of centuries as well as how it was managed. Then looking at current expectations in waste management but also recent developments under the circumstances of Covid-19 in 2020. There was then consideration of how to improve our approaches as a society but also approaches to sustainability and better circular economy. Simeon provided a wonderful soundtrack with some of his music and a rendition of a Carol, keeping things festive. View the webinar below:
