Integrated Skills is pleased to announce the continuation of its partnership with the Ordnance Survey. Working in partnership is central to the Ordnance Survey (OS) business vision. The OS Licensed Partner programme enables companies like Integrated Skills to develop new business streams whilst promoting the use of OS data.
OS data is used by ISL for various projects including those that involve RouteSmart for ArcGIS – the World’s leading route optimisation and route planning software solution. The route optimisation software is applied to various market sectors and services including meter reading, post and parcel services, waste & recycling collection, winter maintenance (gritting), street cleansing, adult and child social care transportation and cash collections to name just a few.
OS data sets used in route optimisation and route planning projects are invaluable and include the MasterMap ITN Layer, MasterMap Sites Layer, MasterMap Address Layer 2, Boundary Line and various Raster maps.
The Ordnance Survey maintains the definitive record of every geographic feature in Great Britain – and creates innovative, high quality maps and datasets from it. The OS head office is located on the outskirts of Southampton.
The OS and ISL have produced a number of joint case studies featuring
RouteSmart and OS data sets which can be viewed on the OS website.
ISL has sold over 50 licences of the RouteSmart software across the UK, Europe and the Middle East and is the corporate route optimisation tool of choice for organisations including TNT Post in England, Airtricity in Northern Ireland, Glasgow City Council in Scotland, Averda in Lebanon, SEI Toscana in Italy, Cardiff Council in Wales and The Met Office in the UK.
