Integrated Skills Ltd (“ISL”) is delighted to announce that it has been awarded a contract by West London Waste Authority (“WLWA”) for the provision of route optimisation consultancy services. WLWA is a statutory waste disposal authority responsible for disposing of collected waste from the London Boroughs of Brent, Ealing, Harrow, Hillingdon, Hounslow and Richmond upon Thames (www.westlondonwaste.gov.uk).
ISL is the UK’s leading specialist in route optimisation for the waste & recycling sector as well as street cleansing, winter maintenance & gully emptying activities (www.integrated-skills.com). The project involves the use of the GIS based route optimisation software, RouteSmart, in consultancy services applied to waste & recycling collection services across the WLWA boroughs.
The WLWA Smart Cities vision is that by 2030 west London service provision for residual waste, recyclables and materials will be efficient, dynamic, fully utilised and generating income where possible. Residents will be fully aware of their local services and engage with them correctly because they’re easy to use, they can identify the materials for separating and they understand the benefit to them and others participating.
The objectives of this new contract are:
ISL is an ESRI (www.esri.com) bronze partner and will be utilising the power of their GIS platform to produce optimised routes. ISL is also a long-standing partner of the Ordnance Survey (www.ordnancesurvey.co.uk) and will be processing their Highways data sets in tandem with LLPG data provided by the London Boroughs.
